Beginners, you will make cute baskets using cotton clothesline and fabric. You need a machine that does a zig-zag stitch for this class. These baskets make wonderful presents! Finishing Your Quilt - Kathy P.

Techniques you will learn are: Putting on borders, getting your quilt top ready for quilting, layering your quilt, putting on the binding, making a quilt sleeve, and making a label. Print the class materials you'll need to bring to class.

Mug Mats - Bonnie A.

Christmas Table Runner - Kathy P.

Will be made from pattern, "Everyday Runner" by G.E. Designs Iceland. Fat quarter friendly

Beginners will learn basic piecing skills in order to create twelve inch blocks. Take one class or take all thirteen classes to complete a twelve block lap quilt. Oven Mitt - Bonnie A.

This class will show you how to use free motion quilting on a small project. It would be very helpful to take Kathy P’s free motion class before taking this one, but not absolutely necessary. We will cut out the special shape, make the sandwich, pin it and free motion quilt it, add the “mitts” and put on the binding. These make great gifts and can be made out of holiday fabrics. "Scenes Through My Window" is a new class that offers a new point of view when you look out the window.  The special effect comes from how the focus fabric is cut, not just fussy cut.  Join me in this exciting class and we'll see what's out your window. Basket of Flowers - Kathy P.

Come have some great fun learning my new technique for basket of flowers.
You need to start looking now for fabrics. Different sized flower prints, I used three or four different fabrics in my basket of flowers. You can make one that has all the same flowers or a variety of different flowers.  Oriental fabrics are wonderful for these quilts.  This is such a fun project, its like cutting out paper dolls when you were a kid but even more fun.

Next month I will be teaching landscape quilts, so keep your eyes open for all those scrapes of fabric that remind you of trees, mountains, sky, water, and houses, whatever you want in your landscape. If you enjoy the basket of flowers quilt you will love the landscapes. These projects are so much fun I can hardly wait to show you.

Charity Quilt Night

Come join Busy Bee for our charity quilting night! Our goal is to help our community by making quilts that can be given to persons or families in need. You'll need to bring your machine, and other supplies that you’ll need for sewing.
